The plot of the movie seems more or less what we read in the EL James' trilogy by the same name, from which the movie has been adapted. Anastasia Steele, a literature student, meets the stunning-yet-reclusive business tycoon, Christian Grey, for an interview. While she looks a little shy and taken back, he takes control. To repeat her words, he looks “Polite. Intense. Smart. Really intimidating.”

Fifty Shades of Grey is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti alongside E L James, the creator of the series. The screenplay for the film is by Kelly Marcel.
