2. On a train journey in Warsaw, psychiatrist Shaina meets Himanshu, who is a police officer from India to discuss their prospective marriage. Both are reluctant to enter into an arranged union but become friends and strike a deep conversation where Shaina reveals her previous relationship with the eccentric Devi, a man who lived only for his 'Kick' aka an adrenaline rush . Despite his idiosyncrasies they embark on a whirlwind romance, until one day he breaks up with her for a new 'Kick' and walks away never to return. Himanshu in turn regales her with his glorious escapades as an officer but mentions that he has finally met his match, an intelligent thief. What they are both unaware of is that their stories have one thing in common, Devi. He returns to their lives under the pretext of having lost his memory. Behind it all, is a deeper mystery and an uncompromising mission for which Devi is ready to lose his life.

Kick comprises all the histrionics that come with a Salman Khan film — action, comedy, romance and melodrama.You don’t have to be a scriptwriter to know what happens next. You just need to leave your brains home and enjoy the story, if it can be called that. As the film ends with Singh saying, “don’t try understanding me, just love me”, please don’t try to understand a Salman Khan film. Simply, love it.

‘Kick’ is a vintage Salman-Khan movie, one that unapologetically glorifies his every move, muscle and mannerism. Whether it’s being masked and taking on the “devil”, or being smitten by an absolutely gorgeous Jacqueline Fernandez, he’s just “being Salman”. He’s a man who will live in your heart, but one who can’t be comprehended, we are told, an essence that’s lost in translation but one that cleverly sums up the incoherent mess of a movie ‘Kick’ turns into. This one’s reserved exclusively for Salman loyalists, who can whistle and applaud their hero’s antics but leaves nothing much for his non-fans. It’s unlike his amazingly clever ‘Dabangg’ that had surprisingly won over both sides.

The teaser poster was released on 9 June. Khan had decided to release the theatrical trailer of the film in a single screen theatre, Gaiety Galaxy, in Mumbai with his fans on 15 June but before that few theatrical posters would be released. He decided to do so because he considers single screen theatres lucky for himself. The theatre cancelled shows from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m for the release of the trailer. The trailer which was launched has made an impact on YouTube as it's one of the most watched indian film trailers
